Mental health benefit Outpatient mental health services are a benefit covered by Beacon Health Options. You can call Beacon Health Options at 1-855-765-9702 / TTY 1-800-735-2929 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You do not need a referral from your Primary Care Provider. Medi-Cal. The Ventura County Human Services Agency (HSA) is the local Medi-Cal office. The agency can tell you if you are eligible to get Medi-Cal benefits. If you get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) through the Social Security Administration (SSA), your eligibility for Medi-Cal is decided by the SSA. If you qualify for Medi-Cal, you will get a benefits ID card in the mail. For the first month or two, you will have fee-for-service or state Medi-Cal. You can see any doctor that takes Medi-Cal. The doctor will bill the state for your services. Call HSA or SSA to: ■  ■ Find out about your eligibility. ■  ■ Ask about renewing your benefits. ■  ■ Change your address and phone number. ■  ■ Change your name. ■  ■ Say that you are moving or have moved out of Ventura County and ask to have your Medi-Cal transferred. ■  ■ Report a change in earnings or family size. ■  ■ Ask for a new benefits ID card. ■  ■ Say that you have another health plan or that you no longer have it. HSA: 1-888-472-4463 / TTY 1-800-735-2929 SSA: 1-800-772-1213 / TTY 1-800-325-0778 Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP). GCHP is your health plan in Ventura County after you qualify for Medi-Cal. You will be automatically enrolled in GCHP one to two months after you are eligible. GCHP will send you a new member packet. GCHP covers most Medi-Cal services. Call GCHP for help with: ■  ■ Choosing a Primary Care Provider (PCP) or changing to a new one. ■  ■ Requesting an interpreter if you need help speaking with your doctor in another language. ■  ■ Information on transportation to your medical visits. ■  ■ A bill received for health care services that are covered. ■  ■ Problems with health care services or filing a complaint. ■  ■ Questions about what your health plan covers. ■  ■ Getting a timely doctor’s visit. ■  ■ Getting a new ID card. ■  ■ Finding a pharmacy or getting your prescription filled. ■  ■ Reaching other benefits available to you.
