Medi-Cal members should not be billed for covered services. If you receive a bill from a Medi-Cal provider for a covered service, call Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) as soon as possible at 1-888-301-1228 . If you use a TTY, call 1-888-310-3660 . When you call, have a copy of the bill with the following information: ● Your GCHP identification number. ● The date of the medical service. ● The service provided. ● The name of the doctor or hospital. ● The amount of the bill. Always carry your GCHP member ID card with you. Show your card at every doctor visit to make sure services are covered and to avoid getting billed by mistake. Committed to your satisfaction Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) wants you to be happy with your health care and services. However, sometimes you might not be and GCHP wants to hear about it. If you are not happy with a provider or the provider’s office, it is best to talk to GCHP first. The same goes if you are not happy with your experience in a hospital or other facility. You may file a grievance with GCHP if you are not happy with: ● The care your doctor is providing or how you were treated in the office. ● The ability to get the care you need. ● The services you get from GCHP. You may file an appeal with GCHP if services have been changed or denied. If you have a problem, GCHP is here to help. You can file a grievance or an appeal by calling Member Services at 1-888-301-1228 . If you use a TTY, call 1-888-310-7347 . Once you let GCHP know about your grievance or appeal, someone will look into it. If you are getting a bill for services covered by GCHP, call the billing office at the number on your statement. Let them know what insurance you have and ask them to send a claim to GCHP.
