Safe travel tips Now that it’s summer, you may be planning to take a vacation to visit friends and family. It’s important to remember that the coronavirus is still active. Staying home is the best way to stay safe. If you decide to travel, take short trips with members of your household, and don’t make stops. It is important to do research before your trip. Find out how active the coronavirus is at your destination. Some places may require you to quarantine or provide a negative COVID-19 test before traveling. If you decide to travel, follow these precautions: ● Always wear a mask in public. ● Use hand sanitizer and bring sanitizing wipes. ● Avoid sharing rides with passengers from different households. ● Open windows when you can. ● If flying, point your overhead air nozzle at your head and turn it on full blast for your entire plane ride. ● Avoid touching your mouth, nose, eyes and objects. ● Wash your hands often. ● Bring your own food. ● If eligible, get your COVID-19 vaccine before traveling. Safe travels! FOR MORE INFORMATION, read the Member Handbook at goldcoasthealthplan.org .
