Emotional troubles like this are more common than you suspect. If you are struggling, a mental health professional can help you feel like yourself again. Using talk therapy and possibly medication, this professional can help you: ●Make plans for solving problems. ●Change behaviors that hold you back. ●Feel stronger when facing challenges. ●Examine how the way you think may negatively affect your emotions. ●Heal pain from your past. The good news: Most people who seek help get better. Keep this in mind: Seeking help is never a sign of weakness. It takes strength to admit that things need to change, learn new coping skills, and grow. Which professional? Language assistance services Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) knows the importance of being able to communicate with your doctor or a mental health provider so you can understand your health. GCHP offers interpretation and translation services, materials in alternative formats, and auxiliary aids and services upon request at no cost to members. Members do not need to use a family member or friend as an interpreter. GCHP offers these language assistance services: ●In-person or teleconference interpreting by trained interpreters 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This includes sign language interpreters. ●Translation of written information in other languages. ●Alternative formats such as Braille, large print, audio CD, data CD, and other accessible electronic formats and auxiliary aids. ●Qualified interpreters trained to interpret health information between you and your doctors. Ask your doctor or office staff for language assistance services.
