WINNING HEALTH 4 You may qualify for incontinence supplies Taking your child to the doctor for regular visits during the first 15 months is one of the best ways to understand your child’s overall development. These checkups–known as well-child visits–give the doctor a chance to promote healthy habits when it comes to eating and physical activity. By the time children are 15 months old, they should have six or more well- child visits. The checkups should take place three to five days after the child’s birth and at one, two, four, six, nine, 12 and 15 months. During a well-child visit, the doctor will: ●  ● Perform an exam. ●  ● Give your child any immunizations or vaccinations. ●  ● Track how your child is growing and developing. ●  ● Discuss illness prevention, diet and fitness. ●  ● Address health and safety concerns. ●  ● Talk about how to deal with Well-child visits: Birth to 15 months Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) may pay for incontinence supplies costing up to $165 each month.
