It’s also a great way to cope with stress and anxiety. Think outside the gym: ❱ Take a walk or go for a bike ride. ❱ Have a virtual dance party with friends over video chat. ❱ If you have stairs, climb up and down for 10 minutes at a time. ❱ Work on a strengthening routine with moves like pushups. ❱ Make up your own jump rope and shadowboxing routine–or a circuit workout with jumping jacks, burpees and lunges. ❱ Stream a free yoga video. ❱ Tackle some yardwork. ❱ Play active games, like soccer, with your family. ❱ Do some wall sits while you read a book. Well-child visits for your growing baby! Routine checkups during the first three years of your baby’s life, also called well-baby, well-child or well- care visits, are as important as taking your child to the doctor when they are sick. At a well-child visit, the doctor can: ● Check your child’s general health and development. ● Detect problems early. ● Give helpful tips. These visits are also a good time to complete important vaccines and screenings, such as lead and developmental checks. Call your doctor’s office if you are not sure if your child has completed these routine visits.
