3 things to know   PRINT AND GO. Reward forms are on GCHP’s website under “Members” and “Resources.” Non-medical transportation (NMT) Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) has expanded the transportation benefit to all of its members. Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) can now be used for any service that Medi-Cal covers. That includes visits with your doctor, dentist or mental health provider. Rides to pick up prescriptions or medical equipment also are covered. NMT is for members who can ride in a car, van, or bus. No authorization is needed. GCHP’s provider for NMT is Ventura Transit System (VTS). To arrange a ride, members can call VTS at 1-855-628-7433/1-800-855-7100 (California Relay Service). Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Schedule your ride at least 48 hours in advance. If you can’t do that, call as soon as you can. You will need your GCHP ID number. VTS will also ask you to verify that you have no other way to get a ride. member services: 1-888-301-1228 / TTY 1-888-310-7347 Sun safety smarts A sunburn is no fun. Your skin turns red, hurts and sometimes even peels. Yuck! That’s why it’s important to protect your skin from the sun when you go outside. Too much sun can harm your skin. You could even get skin cancer. To start, put on sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher. Using sunscreen can help keep you from getting sunburned. Cover your arms and legs by wearing protective clothing. Wear sunglasses to block out UVA and UVB rays. winning health Member rewards Well-child exam Get a $15 gift card to Target or Walmart when you take your 3- to 6-year- old child for a well-child exam.
