When your wellness gets compromised, you may need to talk to somebody. One of the ways you can do this is by using the mental health services available to you as a member of Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP). Members can get these services through our partner, Beacon Health Options. What do mental health services look like? People may seek mental health services if they are in mild or moderate distress or have impairment of mental or emotional functioning. They may want to speak to a mental health counselor to discuss something that is causing anxiety or stress. They can also work with a psychologist to complete a full mental health evaluation. Mental health services include: ●Individual and group mental health evaluation and treatment. ●Psychological testing. ●Development of skills to improve attention, memory and problem-solving. ●Medication therapy. ●Psychiatric consultation.
